WitThanks to the Twilight Saga Robert Pattinson has staked his claim on the hearts of millions as Edward Cullen. And that fame has already earned him a fortune…
With Twilight mania sweeping the globe it is perhaps unsurprising that vampire Robert Pattinson, aka Edward Cullen, found his way on to the Sunday Times Young Millionaires List this year.
His new entry on the list places him at 13th, above Charlotte Church and Cheryl Cole but below Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame. And at the tender age of just 24.
For the uninitiated, the Twilight Saga is a series of romantic fantasy films, which built up a cult following, based on novels by the American author Stephenie Meyer.

Twilight Themed Corn Maze Is Back!
For the last several years a Salt Lake City area farm has done a Twilight themed corn maze. Well they are back again this year with another creation. According to the Salt Lake Tribune:
“Black Island Farms is again inviting people this fall to harvest memories, from the hayrides, slides built from giant hay stacks and freshly picked bounty at the farmers market available during the Harvest Festival. People can also brave a cornfield maze.
This year’s maze features the likeness of Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart of the “Twilight” movie series. Those attempting to find the one exit from the more than five miles of twists, turns and dead ends likely will spend more than an hour to make their way out. Anyone smart or lucky enough to make the correct decisions may be able to complete the task in 15 to 30 minutes.
Opening day is Friday.”

Kristen Through Her Co- Stars/Peers Eyes
I think she is an extremely talented actress, plus we are pretty close, so I always support her.” - Max Thieriot, co-star - Catch That Kid
"She has a terrific presence Kristen does," he tells PopEater. "She walked into the room. You just sensed something, like who is that person? - Udayan Prasad - Director, The Yellow Handkerchief.
"She doesn't need any help. She's on the right track. She’s a good girl," Foster told PEOPLE. "And I love that kid. I spent so much time with her."
Kristen isn't interested in blurting out her emotions all in front of her, and that results in really intelligent and interesting performances."- Jodie Foster, The Panic Room
Kristen is "a truth machine...magically easy to direct. She is a real force with terrific instincts." Sean Penn, Director - Into The Wild.
“She’s a fantastic actress.”
And in case, she ends up in a throwdown "She is scrappy. She is wiry and scrappy."- Chris Weitz - Director, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
"I was instantly struck with her tremendous intelligence and also her sense of herself. She was truly grounded and has a power and ferocity about her that is so perfect for Georgia and yet in this delicate body that was also necessary to play the role." - Mary Stuart Masterson, Director- The Cake Eaters.
On both Rob and Kristen, "I've never had an actor like Rob or Kristen. They are remarkable, but they are definitely challenging in a way. Or, because they're challenging everything in themselves, too, not just me. They were trying to find it and they were trying to make it really great." Catherine Hardwicke, Director - Twilight
"I’ve defended her in public as regularly as I can. I think it’s absurd, that they’re not giving her a break. I think that she’s holding her own, that she’s courageous, that she’s inventive, and that she’s got character oozing out of her, and I say, “Give her a break. Who is she to pander to your idea of what she’s supposed to be?” She has every right in the world to express herself exactly as she chooses to, and she’s got a lot of surprises up her sleeve. Why won’t they give that woman a break?" - William Hurt,co-star - The Yellow Handkerchief
"I just talked to her at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. She was cool, I totally had a crush on her when we were working together. For my 13th birthday, she got me a turtle, his name was Bob.” - Josh Hutcherson, co-star - Zathura
“I was gushing about [Kristen],” says Hirsch . “I think she’s so talented and so perfect. She’s a great conversationalist, very inquisitive. She’s got a little bit of an edge, too, though, so she’s not a pushover. She’s strong and cool. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, and she’s emotional, too.” Emile Hirsch, Co-star - Into The Wild.
"I think she will have an amazing career... I was so impressed with her depth and integrity, and I was so thrilled to do this film with her."-Maria Bello, co-star, The Yellow Handkerchief.
"She'd listen to my accent and watch my body language. She's an actress of weight, honesty, integrity and depth, and she's very serious. She takes it as art," Joan Jett, Producer - The Runaways.
"She is the best actress of her generation." - Robert Pattinson, co star - The Twilight Saga (and boyfriend -teehee). There a lot more of course, but this one is a classic.

Rumor: Potential Project for Kristen 'Little American'
- Kristen Stewart is interested in playing the lead in the Peter Craig scripted 'Little American'. Produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, the film is described as a cross between Speed (okay) and Black Dog (huh?) and centers on “a 16-year-old prostitute who inadvertently kills a gang member, and then must go on the run. She hitches a ride with a truck driver who is hauling a lethal toxin. The truck driver and the prostitute bond during the chase.” Josh Brolin is interested in playing the truck driver.

James Franco Weighs in on the Twilight Saga
ames Franco was interviewed by MTV the other day for his upcoming movie 127 Hours and the conversation rolled around to the Twilight series — which James was spotted reading last month. Apparently he’s also seen all three movies:
The movies are almost commenting on themselves. There will be a scene where the go-to guys, Taylor and Rob, are in the tent, it’s almost like a Brokeback Mountain scene, where the two guys are talking and the girl is asleep, and they’re having, like, this romantic moment almost through her, in a way. One of them says, ‘Well, I’m hotter than you,’ and it’s almost like they’re winking at the fans, like to Team Jacob or Team Edward.
However, when asked about Breaking Dawn, he said he didn’t finish it:
I read a part of it. I think I got to the sex scene, but it was so brief, I didn’t even know if it was the actual sex scene. It was kind of a letdown after all that buildup.

Twilight College Course Now Available at California State University
Learning about vampires, werewolves, and the love that comes in the triangle made by mixing in a human has been something that fans around the world have enjoyed reading about for years now. Then came the time for them to watch the bizarre love triangle on the big screen in The Twilight Saga. Now you officially sign up and learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the franchise by merely signing up for a college course.
Yes, you too can be a Twi-hard.
A full-length college course devoted to the Twilight phenomenon was announced back in March and now it has become a reality as it is available this fall at California State University. Fans, and non-fans, will be able to learn what it is like for vampires to sparkle, werewolves to live off the reservation, and the two species to battle it out for the love of a human being.
Course description: Examines the Twilight saga and the resulting fandom. Explores Twilight in relation to the social and cultural construction of gender and gendered identities in contemporary U.S. culture. Using an intersectional lens emphasizing gender, race, class, sexuality, and belief, provides foundations to think more deeply about popular culture and its impact. Covers vampire lore, the romantic core of the series, female characters and fans, the depiction of men and masculinity, religious contexts, race, and white privilege, the franchising of Twilight, and various cultural contexts such as abstinence only education and the rise of internet fandoms.
Interesting to say the last and it is sure to be filled to capacity no matter what time or day the course is featured on. Amazingly, Dr. Natalie Wilson, who will be teaching the course, is intending to offer the course to the public as much as possible. Dr. Wilson is running a blog detailing aspects of the course and that can all be checked out here.
The Twilight Saga has been one of the most successful film franchises in history with still two films yet to come. Breaking Dawn is the final chapter and will be split into two separate films in order not to cut out too much from the all important novel. Part One will be released on November 18, 2011 and Part Two will hit theatres on November 16, 2012. Filming will be going on in Vancouver and Baton Rouge, LA this fall.
Chances are this will not be the only Twilight themed college course and the fever will soon spread before long.
