Robert Pattinson Takes a Bite Out of the Web Competition This Week

He’s no stranger to being perched atop the many popularity polls and has won a slate of fan favorite awards during his short career, and Robert Pattinson has once again risen to the peak position on the Gossip Center Hot 45 List.

The “Twilight” heartthrob ousted the competition to garner the number one spot for the second time in the past month while edging out fellow attention-grabbing famous faces including runner-up Justin Bieber and third place finisher Carla Bruni.

Despite having a relatively quite start to the week, Mr Pattinson enjoyed a late, yet overwhelming surge upon the release of the first on-set photo from his latest project “Cosmopolis” in which he’s pictured sharing a limousine ride with his Canadian actress co-star Sarah Gadon. The 25-year-old English hunk also made headlines thanks to a new interview with Glamour, during which he voiced his desire to settle down with a lucky lady. He dished, “I want to be with my wife… Sitting on a deckchair, sipping some tea, and reading books in a retirement home, in a beautiful and warm place. I’m a romantic guy.”

Taylor vs Tyler: Who Has the Hotter Wolf Bod?

Meet Tyler Posey, the star of MTV’s new series Teen Wolf.

“For three months before we started filming [executive producer] Jeff Davis hired me a personal trainer,” Posey, 19, told us of bulking up for the role. “It’s so hard to work out on my own so definitely having a trainer pushing me to wake up every morning definitely helped.”

So how buff is his bod now?

“I think I was like 12 percent fat when I started and then I was 6 percent fat,” Posey says. “I’m like 160 pounds now and I wasn’t that at all. I think I was like 140 when I started. So it’s definitely made a big difference.”

As for the endless Twilight-Teen Wolf comparisons, Posey hasn’t gotten tired of them just yet, saying, “I think it’s awesome that we’re being compared to it. I’m honored.”

Fun fact: Posey was actually in talks for the part of Jacob Black in the vampire franchise before Lautner landed to role.
"I read the script," Posey said. "There was talk of me being in it. But not anymore. I found my own werewolf to make my own."

Edi Gathegi Talks ‘X-Men’ and Fans

IGN has a new interview with Edi Gathegi on his new character, Darwin in X-Men: First Class. Edi chats a bit about his character and how he handles his super powers, before describing how he feels about being part of another big movie like Twilight and how the fans compare. IGN: You must be used to big movies with Twilight – how has it been to step into the X-Men universe?

Edi Gathegi: Well the two are different and similar in many ways, but in terms of scale, Twilight wasn’t really a massive movie before it was released. It ended up making a lot of money and becoming big, and the others had more of a budget but they were still moderately budgeted. We didn’t know what to expect on that. But with this one you’re stepping into an already existing franchise. This is the fifth instalment of the X-Men franchise. There’s a lot of pressure. But I look at it with the perspective that I’m just here to do a job, and I’m going to do the best job I can and everybody has that responsibility. Hopefully we’ll put it out there and the audience will enjoy it.

IGN: It’s a whole new world of fans – have you heard from them yet?

Gathegi: You know what, I’m so excited to show this movie to the fans, because I myself am the audience. I remember my experience watching the X-Men films and I think hopefully we’re doing something that’s exciting and a good addition to the series.

IGN: Are they less intense than the Twilight fans?

Gathegi: It depends. I would say that Twilight fans are more forgiving. They’re more opinionated in the beginning, but if things don’t go entirely according to their imagination – which they never will – they’ll be upset but then they’ll forgive that and come back with so much love. I don’t know what it is about those fans. But the X-Men fans aren’t so forgiving! By the same token, you can’t satisfy everybody. We’re making this for the fans and I don’t necessarily think it’ll appeal to the fanatics, because we’ve drawn from many different elements of the comics to make this work as a movie, because it is a movie and not a 20-page comic book. So it’s going to be different. In the attempt to make a movie of the comic, you’re pissing off fanatics.

IGN: How are you finding Matthew Vaughn as a director?

Gathegi: This is my first time on a movie this big, but from my perspective I think Matthew's doing a bang-up job. I know he's a very capable director. Kick-Ass was an experience, a good time. I think all the elements are in place for this type of movie: there's a bit of fantasy, sci-fi, action and comic-book retelling that I would like to see. I'm actually very excited to be a part of this cast, the director, the subject matter, the script - I think all the elements are in place for it to be a good film.

IGN: If X-Men: First Class is a hit, would you return for sequels?

Gathegi: You know, the honest answer is I guess it depends on what's going on in my life at that time and who comes back and who's involved in it. But the stock answer is I'm an X-Men fan, so absolutely. Bring me back, I'll put on the suit.

The ‘Twilight’ House Listed At Number 8 In The 20 Movie Houses You Can Live In

The Cullen’s house in Twilight is listed in Total Film’s 20 Movie Houses You Can Live In (If You’ve Got the Cash) at number eight! This house, of course, was home to Dr. Carlisle Cullen and his family of “vegetarian” vampires in the movie.

The House: Super-cool, super-stylish digs owned by the Cullen family of vampires. In real life, it’s owned by Nike footwear designer John Hoke.

The Movie: Faint-inducing adaptation of Stephenie Meyers’ first Twilight novel, starring dreamboat Robert Pattinson as a twinkly good vampire who doesn’t eat people – unless they really deserve it. Which is why he refuses to – uh – eat Bella, who bites her lip a lot in response.

If We Lived There: We’d hire a CSI team to find all of R-Pattz fingerprints throughout the house, then frame them. We’re odd like that.

Blackfilm Inteview With Edi Gathegi

How did you go about getting the role in this film?

Edi Gathegi: A long, long time ago I saw ‘X-Men II’ in the movie theater and I distinctly remember saying out loud to myself, ‘I want to be in that.’ I just thought that it was extraordinary. I thought that it was a great re-imagining of a comic brought to life. It was based in good story and good character, but the action was just extraordinary and I wanted to be a part of that specifically. So, I told my representation anything ‘X-Men’ I wanted to be in it. So, I got an audition for the role of Agent Zero in the ‘Wolverine’ movie and I didn’t get it and I sort of lost my hope that I’d ever be a part of the ‘X-Men’ until they announced the origin story which is the one that’s coming out on June 3rd. So, I got my audition for it and this time they liked me.

Did you know what role you were going in for?

EG: I did know what role I was going in for. I actually read for Banshee and I thought that I was going to be Banshee until I read the script, basically a few days before I started shooting.

Darwin is a black character in the comic book, right?

EG: Yeah, Darwin is black in the comic books. Banshee is Irish. I was a fan of the comics growing up, but my extensive knowledge to every single character was limited to the characters that were on the TV show and Banshee wasn’t. If he was I don’t remember him, and so I didn’t realize that he was Irish. That’s what I read for in my audition and so I assumed that I was going to be playing him.

After ‘Twilight’, I take it that you didn’t hesitate at all to be a part of another franchise?

EG: Not only that, but it’s ‘X-Men’, you know.
