‘Eclipse’ Tickets on Sale at Midnight!

The new film in the “Twilight Saga,” “Eclipse,” doesn’t open theatrically until June 29. But tickets for the highly anticipated horror-fantasy romance tale will go on sale Thursday at midnight, at all Megaplex Theatres location.

The local theater chain finished first in the nation for opening-night ticket sales for the two previous “Twilight” movies. And according to Megaplex Theatres General Manager Blake Anderson, the chain expects to do the same with “Eclipse,” the third installment.

Anderson also noted that the Megaplexes are “expanding our capacity for this film by more than 750 reserved, stadium seats.” That includes the seats in the new digital IMAX theater at Jordan Commons.

Megaplex Theatres will also host pre-opening Twilight Festivals at three of its five locations — Jordan Commons in Sandy, Thanksgiving Point in Lehi and The Junction in Ogden. This festival will feature activities inspired by the popular book and movie series. Tickets are $25 and do not include a movie ticket.
