How to Get Kristen Stewart's Effortless On- and Off-Screen Style

Kristen Stewart always looks effortlessly beautiful, and now we know the secret to her casual cool style. The 'Twilight' star is a huge fan of the t-shirt brand Market, and rocks their tops on- and off-screen.

One of Kristen's favorite tops is the Patti, which fans saw her wear to the 2011 Comic-Con convention, as well as in Marcus Foster's 'I Was Broken' video, for which she styled herself. The breezy, 3/4 length top is stylin', semi-sheer and super soft.

We love how Kristen dresses these tees up and down, depending on the occasion. Want to score the star's look? Check out pics of Kristen below, and get more info on the tops at Market-ts.com.

Transcript: Glamour Interview w/ Kristen

It feels very good to see KRisten Stewart again. I've missed her. We're meeting at the little mews house where I'm living for the summer, about an hour outside London. Kristen seems relaxed and happy; she looks fantastic--not unusual for her--and better rested than the last time I saw her, at the end of the interminable two-movie shoot that dominated our lives for the past year. You may know me as the author of the Twilight series, but I'm also a producer of the movies, so Kristen and I have gotten to know each other very well while filming during the past three years. Now the series is close to being over, with Breaking Dawn in theaters this month and Breaking Dawn Part 2 coming out next fall.

Today she's in her usual jeans and a T-shirt, Chuck Taylors and a ponytail. Without any makeup, her skin is noticeably luminous. Her hair is dark, glossy and very long. I comment on the length, mentally counting the months since I've seen her; it's been less than four. Kristen laughs: The hair is not all hers. It's in place for her next movie, Snow White and the Huntsman.

We talk and talk, and as we speak, Kristen curls her legs under her, never entirely at rest, leaning forward when she's enthusiastic. She's animated and passionate about any project she believes in, yet she's wary of how she might be perceived. I hope that in this interview something is captured of the Kristen I know, the real girl rather than the movie star.

Stephenie Meyer: So we've finally split up after spending the last several years working together. And yet the first movie I go to do [Austenland, starring Kurt Russell], you follow me to the same studio. Are you stalking me?
  • Kristen Stewart: [Laughs] Yes, I really am. I'm trying to get into your next films.

SM: I remember when we were shooting the wedding scene in Breaking Dawn--I was losing it because we were so sleep-deprived at that point.
  • KS: Yeah, the last night… I was exhausted, and it's funny, Rob [Pattinson] was actually way more energetic than I was at the end of it.
SM: How emotional were you filming the final scenes?
  • KS: Even thinking about it now kind of freaks me out. On the final night of filming, I was literally pulling out my hair and crying and having to walk away for a second because my voice wasn't working anymore.

SM: It was a big moment. Being there, you could feel that … And I have to say, you embrace Bella so much.
  • KS: I like Bella so much. In order to play a part like that, you have to believe in every crazy decision that she makes.

SM: What kind of characters do you gravitate toward?
  • KS: It is such a gut instinct. I've yet to play anybody who I don't really love.

SM: I think you once wanted to direct. Do you still want to?
  • KS: Yeah, really, really badly. Me and Dakota [Fanning] were having this conversation the other day actually, and she also wants to do it really bad. It will happen, I think. I also really enjoy being an actor, so I'm fine. I mean, I'm not finished …

SM: Do you prefer working with male or female directors?
  • KS: I feel that everyone's so different that it's hard to say, "Girls are like this," because even the women I've worked with are all very different. But female directors are usually pretty remarkable because they have gone that extra step of saying, "No, I'm gonna direct the film. No, there's no one else."

SM: I know that publicity's not your favorite thing. Have you ever been misquoted?
  • KS: Yes, I have. It bugs me! False impressions are the worst! It definitely makes me watch my words. Even right now, I'm going, OK, how do you talk about this? And you've got to have a filter.

SM: What are you reading right now?
  • KS: My Snow White director just gave me a book on Joan of Arc. I'm mostly reading work things. And I've been foxing all of my English-dialect stuff!

SM: It must be hard to concentrate on your performance when you're so worried about the sound of your voice.
  • KS: It's weird. Especially considering that I've recently had so much experience speaking he way that I speak. Because this how Bella talks.
  • [Laughs.] God, imagine if I'd had to change my voice.

SM: Can you imagine how miserable you would have been? Now I feel kind of guilty, because that's exactly what we made Rob do.
  • KS: Yeah, actually, that's true. Completely. [Laughs.]

SM: How long did you have off after Breaking Dawn?
  • KS: It doesn't feel like I've had any time off. I should have just gone home and relaxed.

SM: It took a while before I could kind of step back and say, OK, it's over. [LAughs.] It's a long time to do one thing!
  • KS: And the experience of watching is always so strange. I watched this one with Taylor [Lautner] for the first time. It was really fun.

SM: Who can not like Taylor?
  • KS: No! I mean, definitely! And it's fun to watch it with him because we actually sit and watch it. Me and Taylor are actual Twilight fans, so we can sit there and be totally into it! Whereas I sit there with Rob… he likes it, but he has just such a different energy.

SM: Oh, Rob and Taylor have completely different energy! Watching it with Taylor, you feel afraid that you'll get ice down the back of your neck or a grape in your face.

  • KS: Totally.

SM: You always have to be on your guard with him.
  • KS: I've always just loved Jacob and Bella so much. Taylor is great in this one. Not to keep saying how great the movie is, but …

SM: Yeah, we threw a lot at you in this one! You have to die, you give birth screaming and--no big deal--get married for the first time.
  • KS: I know! Jesus!

SM: What did you do for your 21st birthday?
  • KS: I turned 21 the same weekend as our Breaking Dawn wrap party. So it was lucky because I had this blowout party with everyone, but I didn't have to feel like the birthday girl. I do feel older, I guess. It's amazing to realize that a lot of the insecurities I had when I was younger have pretty much disappeared.

SM: Your style is pretty basic. How would you describe it?
  • KS: I have a uniform of sorts--I will be comfortable in a certain hood of mine no matter what mood I am in. And there's nothing better than a new stack of white V-neck. For me, "changing" is either a new T-shirt. And I need pockets, 'cause if I carried a bag, I'd lose it purposely.

SM: You keep you romantic relationships pretty close to the vest. Do you have any relationship advice for Glamour readers?
  • KS: Hmm…good relationship advice for me tends to be being honest and knowing yourself. Don't be an asshole. That's my advice. Don't be mean. Don't take shit. Don't settle.

Jack Morrissey talks more about Breaking Dawn and cute Edward and Bella moments

Jack, how will BD1 end? Will we see red eyes? Vamp Bella? Renesmee?

  • You don't really want to me to give away the ending, do you?

Does Bill have any plans to slip a little something at the end of the BD1 credits? Perhaps a glimpse of BD2?
  • Hope springs eternal!

Rob is going to speak Portuguese in the film, right?
  • Yes.

Do we get the "dog bowl" scene and blonde jokes in the film?
  • There are a few jokes in there; the food throwing scene will be on the DVD.

Is Rob going to be on the BD2 soundtrack?
  • I'm a bit unclear, but either Rob isn't doing anything with music at the moment or he wants to keep it separate.

What are Rob and Kristen like?
  • They're both great people and Bill loves them both, but I have never met Rob, Kristen... or Bear, for that matter.

Where in the film will "It Will Rain" play?
  • You can guess all you like, but I can't say. Bill says wait and see!

Will Breaking Dawn come out in IMAX?
  • Shnope. HAPPY FEET 2 took all the IMAX screens.

Is there a music video for Bruno Mars, "It Will Rain"?
  • So far as I know, there is no video yet. I believe they are shooting one, but I don't know when you can expect to see it.

Is there going to be an UNEDITED dvd version of Breaking Dawn?
  • Hope Springs Eternal.

Will Bill do his commentary solo or with others...and by others i do NOT mean RK?
  • Solo.
Why isn't Muse on the Soundtrack?
  • LINK: Muse Article on MTV
  • And as for what I think about that, I would say that's extremely bad form.

The pendant that Aro gave to Bella as a wedding gift...will that make the movie?
  • I honestly can't remember if that was shot or not.

Why are some movies shorter than the others?
  • Movies are movies are movies. Pacing, flow, rhythm. It's never about cramming every word in if it doesn't make for good pacing.
  • It's not about how many minutes the movie is - it's what happens during those minutes.
Some tweets about Edward and Bella Cuteness!!
  • The chess scenes we've seen in stills made it into the film. Chess just got sexier!
  • Lots and lots of E & B kisses
  • More laughs (in a good way) in this film than the previous 3
  • Edward will toast Bella and/or say sweetness at the wedding. A fan pointed out Bill said this at Comic Con or in EW but I don't recall Bill saying this.

But Kendrick tells EW she’s glad she doesn’t have to deal with flashing lights and screaming fans on a daily basis. If only her Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were so lucky. “I feel really, really, genuinely fortunate not to have to deal with that right now,” she admits. “It’s like a prison. It’s a really nice prison, but so what? You still can’t leave your home. I feel happy that that’s not my reality right now.

Kristen's Full Interview with Premiere Magazine

P: I read that Stephenie Meyer wrote the grand lines of the fourth book right after the first one, which could explain this ‘padding’ side of the second and third book.
I didn’t know about that. But it’s true that it wouldn’t be absurd in the sense that we could go directly from book one to the wedding in the fourth. At the same time, I remember Stephenie was writing the fourth book while we were filming Twilight. When I think back to that period of time, it seems so crazy to me. Nobody knew anybody, we were all different. I can see us again, actors, directors, screenwriters, going up to each other and said sort of shyly ‘Hello everyone.’ Now that we’re all so close, it feels weird.

P: You were 17 when you filmed the first movie. How did those 4 years of filming the saga changed you?
When you spend time on a project that asks for so much work, you have to feel invested; ready to defend it with your body and soul. That’s how I feel for all my movies. Twilight helped me share this passion with a bigger audience. Like everyone who reaches this level of fame, the saga is criticized a lot, but I realized that it only made me want to defend it even more. This experience helped me open up. When I was younger I felt things more strongly but I wasn’t always able to put it into words. I made tons of progress. In this field, every new project shapes you, helps you fight against your inhibitions little by little. I was a teenager when I started and I think you get better as you learn to know yourself, to make your body your own. It’s after you gain this control over yourself that you’re able to lose it when a scene demands it. Like every movie, Twilight made me grow up, maybe a bit faster than the other ones.

P: Between two movies, you filmed The Runaways and in Welcome to the Rileys. Strong and independent characters…
It wasn’t a conscious choice. Seeing as I’m a natural introvert, I guess I have to compensate by playing those kind of roles. But I’m really not against the idea of playing more weak and vulnerable characters. It would be fascinating.

P: That's good, or Hollywood wouldn't have loads of jobs to offer you..
K: It's true that those characters are pretty rare. You'd notice that one way or another, on screen, a woman always needs a man's help before the end of the movie. We also have to be adorable at all costs et the viewer needs to love us. I don't think I'm ready to play those kind of roles, but I'm fascinated by actors that can play characters that are so unappealing.

P: How long did the shooting of both movies last?
K: Six months and two weeks of rehearsals.

P: Did some days seem long on the filming of Breaking Dawn?
It was repetitive sometimes to such an extent I felt like I was filming again scenes from the previous movies. It doesn’t mean they’re not crucial to the story but some days I felt like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Especially when we had to stay quite some times in a house in Louisiana, Baton Rouge. We filmed all the inside scenes before going outdoors. It was intimate scenes with lots of feelings, dialogues; we filmed them all one by one endlessly. I thought it would never end, especially when you, like me, are used to independent movies that are made in 5 minutes.
Then we left for Canada, where it was freezing. Instead of being happy to finally be outside, we were dying to go back inside to get warm. The timing couldn’t have been worse. Even when we filmed the honeymoon scene in Brazil it was raining season.

P: How was Bill Condon as the captain?
K: I adore Bill. He's someone that gets you involved in his creative process. He's always willing to listen and he's honnest about it. I mixed in with directors who say to be very open, and encourage you to make suggestions but actually can't give a rat's ass about it. Bill wasn't like that. I felt like he was really involved in the project, where others would only be there to cash in on the success of the movie. At Comic Con, I made a joke: 'Look we have a big time director!' I'm really happy that Twilight is attracting this kind of talent today.

P: What were the key moments of filming for you?
The ones the fans are waiting for the most: the wedding, the first love scene, the birth scene. To finally put them on tape was cathartic.

P: And the last day?
K: It was two days, actually. The one where we finished shotting the wedding with the whole crew, this one I was excepting. I knew everybody would go home without really realising how important this moment was, and then the next day the end of it all would hit us. Later, we met at St Thomas, in the Carribean islands, to do over a scene we sort of screwed up in Brazil.
It was only Rob and I, which made the moment even more special. We were on the beach, looking at the sun rising. I grabbed Wick Godfrey, the producer who was with us since the begining of the saga, and threw him in the water. It was perfect and everything you could expect from a moment like this one.

Peter Facinelli talks about Breaking Dawn and Kristen's Set Wound

Photobucket

OKMag Considering Peter is one busy actor these days, now that Twilight filming has wrapped, he will miss most the scenes “where the whole Cullen family is together.” He added, “I think there is something magical about all of us being dressed up in costumes and doing those scenes. I will miss that because that I know, even if I work with the other actors again, it will be different. There is something really interesting about having all of us together in a room.”

As for the big day itself, he recalled, “There was something magical about that day because everyone kind of got to dress up to the nines and for me it was fun to shed the sweaters for a minute and wear a tuxedo. Who doesn’t love a good party? Who doesn’t love a good wedding? It was kind of like the wedding of a couple of centuries for Carlyle.”

And how about the big baby delivery scene? Despite his doctor role, Peter dished, ”Well, its not a spoiler because its in the books, but Carlisle was out at the time so he did not get to deliver Bella’s baby, but I guess that’s true to life because whenever you have your doctor and he says he is going to be there, he is always on vacation. He’s like, ‘I’ll be there for sure,’ and then you get there and he is on vacation. He is on the 9-hole playing golf.”

Although he was MIA for the on-screen birth, his costar Kristen Stewart got a burn on her stomach once and actually turned him to medical advice! “
She spilled something on her belly and a had a little burn so I looked at it for her and I told her to like put some kind of salve on it and I wastelling how to treat it so that it wouldn’t scar or anything. It was funny.”

Director Rupert Sanders also mentioned the burn at Comic-Con when he recalled first meeting her on the ‘Breaking Dawn’ set. “I walked into her trailer and she was chewing on a cigarette while dressing her own wound on her stomach.
