According to Variety, little Mackenzie booked one of the lead roles for a new indie film called “Plastic Jesus” and it seems like production is already under way in North Carolina. The little we know about the film is that it’s a “coming-of-age story in the vein of “Stand By Me,” which follows three small-town kids who encounter mystery, loss and hope.” Mackenzie has the young lead role along side Chandler Canterbury (Knowing, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button) who will be playing her brother. Actors Paul Schneider and Hilarie Burton play the kids parents. The screenplay is by Bryan Bertino and the film will be directed by Erica Dunton and co-produced by Christopher Rockwell (who is also Mackenzie’s manager.
