Nikki Reed is filling out her post-Twilight dance card with a quirky
indie project. The Sam Raimi-produced pic follows a young man (Fran
Kranz) who discovers his dead cat was leading a double life with another
owner. Reed will play Greta opposite Kranz, while J.K. Simmons and Greg
Kinnear are also attached to star. Gillian Greene, who’s married to
Raimi, makes her directorial debut with the dark comedy. Molly Hassell
is also producing. Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow’s script made the
Black List in 2010.
Reed starred as vampire Rosalie Hale in Summit’s Twilight films after
earning an Indie Spirit award for her debut turn in Thirteen. She’ll
next be seen in Dito Montiel’s Empire State and the Joss Whedon-produced
In Your Eyes. She’s repped by Paradigm, Thruline and attorney Lev
Ginsburg.
