Stephenie Meyer is a huge fan of the band Blue October and their tracks have been featured on her own playlists - New Moon playlist, Eclipse playlist, and Breaking Dawn playlist. However, it has come to many Twilight fans surprises that the band hasn't been featured on the first two Twilight Saga soundtracks.
Lead singer of Blue October sat down with Blast magazine in a recent interview and made it clear that it has been the management that has been the reason they have not had an appearance on the first two soundtracks.
“Me and Stephenie Meyer are great friends,” Furstenfeld said. “I hate her camp, but I love her. Stephenie Meyer had the balls to take me to dinner…she said, ‘I wanna put your songs in my movies…’ and I was like, ‘Wow. That’s my dream — let’s do it.’ First movie comes out, no song. Second movie comes out, no song. Her management was like, ‘Everything we told you was a lie.’”
Although you can currently preorder the Eclipse soundtrack from Amazon, we have yet to hear about an official track listing. The soundtrack will officially release on June 8.
