It’s the summer of 2001. New York City. Tyler Hawkins meets Ally Craig through a twist of fate. Both wounded from family tragedies, they are brought together to heal, and to love. But the truth can drive them apart.
In this romantic twist and turn drama called Remember Me, Robert Pattinson claims another victory as a romantic lead playing the handsome and rebellious Tyler Hawkins. Tyler is 21 years old and lacks direction. He has a difficult relationship with his father Charles, played by Pierce Brosnan, yet a close knit bond with his younger sister following the suicide of their brother Michael. Tyler lives with his roommate and close friend, Aiden (Tate Ellington).
Ally, played by Emilie De Ravin, has her own sad story. As witness to her mother’s murder on a subway platform several years ago, Ally is overly protected by her father, NYPD detective Neil Craig (Chris Cooper). What starts out as a vengeful plot against her father by Tyler and Aiden turns out to be true love for them.
The couple find solace in one another and find a way to leave their past tragedies behind. Their new love is threatened, however, as hidden secrets are revealed. As the two families struggle to cope with dysfunction and the heartbreaks of the past, Ally and Aiden try to find their way. In the aftermath of forgiveness, who among them will find happiness, and who will find more heartbreak?
Remember Me examines the many complexities of family, friendship, loyalty, tragedy, love, and redemption, with its key message being “live each day to its fullest.”
Because you never know which ending fate has in store.
Remember that.
