variety A+E Networks is pulling out the broadcast stops for two-night miniseries “Bonnie & Clyde,” announcing that Lifetime, A&E and History will all simulcast the program.
Simulcasts are often seen for telethons and live special events, but are rarer for scripted programs. Initiative for “Bonnie & Clyde” is the first simulcast for the A+E network family, and emphasizes the “event” nature of the program.
Starring Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger, mini follows a Depression-era outlaw couple whose criminal exploits have assured them lasting fame. The four hour miniseries will be split across two nights — Sunday, Dec. 8 and Monday, Dec. 9 — and air at 9 p.m.
