"Ripper Street" back on BBC One (October, 28) - @MyannaBuring
rte.ie e second series of Ripper Street, the Victorian crime drama which is filmed in Dublin, begins on BBC One on Monday October 28 at 9:00pm.
The makers of the show, Tiger Aspect, say: "Catching up with the lives and crime-solving of the three heroes of Whitechapel's H Division - Reid (Matthew Macfadyen), Drake (Jerome Flynn) and Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) - is enticing enough, but what too of Long Susan (MyAnna Buring) and Rose (Charlene McKenna)?"
They continue: "Excitingly, a raft of new faces will arrive on Ripper Street, amongst them a new young cop named Flight (Being Human's Damien Molony) and Inspector Jedediah Shine (Joseph Mawle from Game of Thrones).
"Their arrival will add more intrigue over the course of the eight new episodes which start transmitting later this month."
Another new character in the show will be Joseph Merrick (Joseph Drake) - also known as the Elephant Man – who becomes involved in an investigation.
Along with McKenna and Molony, other Irish cast members include Martin McCann, Charlie Murphy and Stanley Townsend.
