Robert Pattinson’s drama Remember Me took in $23K at 76 sites on its 9th weekend, according to estimates found at Box Office Mojo. The film’s drop-off rate was 47.4% after losing nearly 40% of its venues. The per-theater average was $303. Total to date: $19.056m.
Worldwide, thanks to Pattinson’s international popularity, Remember Me has grossed approximately $55m.
The Kristen Stewart-Dakota Fanning rock biopic The Runaways, directed by Floria Sigismondi, grossed $33.8K, a 58.8% drop from last week. The Runaways lost nearly half its theaters this weekend; it’s currently playing at 65 sites. The per-theater average was $520. To date, the $10m production has grossed $3.487m in the US and Canada.
Next, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be seen in David Slade’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which also features Dakota Fanning as a vampire with evil powers. Eclipse opens on June 30.
Pattinson is currently working on Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod’s Bel Ami, and is scheduled to start working on both Francis Lawrence’s Water for Elephants and Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Stewart has been cast in Walter Salles‘ film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel On The Road, and should also tackle Breaking Dawn in the fall.
