Stepping out for a worthwhile cause, Ashley Greene attended Loveisrespect's 'Louder Than Words' Launch Party in Hollywood, California on Wednesday night (February 1).
The "Twilight" actress prettied up the Avalon red carpet in a cute, black, sleeveless frock as she readied to take the podium for her guest speaker duties. Tweeting about the appearance just prior to arrival, Miss Greene wrote, "I'm so proud to be speaking at the @loveisrespect event with @markgirl ! I got to meet some of the youth advisory board members! #inspired" The festivities come as February is nationally recognized as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAPM).
LoveIsRespect.org offers plenty of details about TDVAPM, including how the cause got its start. Of this, the site tells, "In the 1980s, domestic violence advocates nationwide began uniting to end abuse against women and children during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). The purpose of DVAM is to mourn those who have died because of domestic violence, to celebrate those who have survived and to connect those who work to end domestic violence. DVAM is celebrated in October."
