From TwiExaminer
The new The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 teaser trailer unveiled today revealed a lot from and about the final Twilight Saga installment - especially in the way of first-glimpses at the newest characters. Here are the top seven moments from the new Breaking Dawn - Part 2 teaser trailer.
Bella walks tall
"After eighteen years of being utterly ordinary, I finally found that I
can shine. I was born to be a vampire," Bella (Kristen Stewart)
introduces. Ayep! Because not only does she run fast and land on two
feet after a long jump across the river, but she also finally walks tall
as she greets Jacob (Taylor Lautner) for what appears to be the first
time since her transformation.
Irina's betrayal
Irina (Maggie Grace) sets the events of Part 2 into motion by telling
the Volturi, "I have to report a crime, the Cullens they've done
something terrible." Grace has a knack for delivering lines through
tears (see Lost, Taken, Breaking Dawn - Part 1, e.g.), so it's good to
know her strong suit is coming to good use for Part 2!
Also of note: There's a creepy scene snippet with Jane (Dakota Fanning), which must be the immortal child flashback. Shiver!
Humor
There are two major moments of humor in the teaser trailer - one
intentional, and one seemingly accidental. When Aro (Michael Sheen)
declares "Oh my," it's probably meant to be serious, but it adds a
little levity to the moment instead. Jacob's note that there are a lot
of red eyes in the room is also cute.
Requisite Volvo shot
Volvo's getting ad space in the trailers now. So, there's that.
New Vampires
Among the several new vampires presented in the teaser trailer,
close-up, are Garrett (Lee Pace), Zafrina (Judi Shekoni), Senna (Tracey
Heggins), Benjamin (Rami Malek), Amun (Omar Metwally), Alistair (Joe
Anderson). Also, really quick background glimpses at Randall (Billy
Tangradi), Tia (Angela Sarafyan), Kebi (Andrea Gabriel), Stefan (Guri
Weinberg) and Vladimir (Noel Fisher) are seen in the teaser.
Outnumbered
The sheer size of the Volturi guard descending on Forks is jarring to
finally see, but that's especially so when compared to the relatively
humble Cullen coven and friends. Both sides look pretty majestic all
lined up like that though. See the slideshow for a close-up "who is who"
of the grand line-up, by the way. Additional new character glimpses in
this one include the Irish Coven - Liam (Patrick Brennan), Siobhan (Lisa
Howard), and Maggie (Marlane Barnes) - as well as the nomads - Peter
(Erik Odom), Charlotte (Valorie Curry), and Mary (Toni Trucks).
New power!
It was a really nice surprise when a first-glimpse at Benjamin's power -
basically, the ability to manipulate the earth and elements, no biggie -
was unraveled by the trailer. More, please!
