Former Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon and “The Kids Are All Right” director Lisa Cholodenko are
among the newcomers elected to the Board of Governors of the Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the academy announced Tuesday.
Cook will represent the executive branch, Condon the writers and Cholodenko directors. Also added were Dante Spinotti, representing the cinematographers branch; John Knoll, for visual effects; and Scott Millan for sound.
In coming weeks, the academy will be electing a new president from its
board of governors to replace its outgoing president, Tom Sherak.
