Stephenie Meyer and the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 did
some great interviews in addition to the their big Hall H panel and
here are twelve quotes from those which really stuck out.
- Still working on Breaking Dawn – Part 2
Kristen Stewart (via MTV): Me and Bill [Condon] were just doing voiceover. I’m not finished yet. It’s very strange.
- Bella the vampire
Kristen Stewart (via ExtraTV):
It was fun. It was really cool. Cause I had so much time to look at
everyone else, years of looking at everyone else do it. So I felt very
well-rounded. I felt like so on it … I was a very confident
vampire, thankfully, very steady, and so unlike … hopefully … tried to
very so unlike what you imagine Bella to be.
Robert Pattinson (via ExtraTV):
Everyone else who was playing a vampire, everyone had kind of figured
out their little mannerisms and there was a kind of group understanding
of how they we were going to play them and then seeing Kristen suddenly
go like ‘I have to play this totally differently,’ and also she’s the
only newborn as well, so it’s kind of interesting to see how do you play
a brand new vampire. I hadn’t seen that before.
Taylor (via ExtraTV):
The fans are going to be super happy. Kristen did such a great job at
portraying the like clumsy awkward teenager Bella, and like now seeing
her as this like sleek, sexy vampire is … it’s weird, but it’s
impressive.
Stephenie Meyer (via MTV): In
this, the standout event is Kristen as a vampire. I mean, it’s awesome …
She’s completely changed. It’s subtle, it’s not like this huge shift,
but if you watch everything she does is a little bit different. In a
very good way, it’s not what I saw in my head because it’s new, and
there’s something I haven’t seen before, and I love that. I love that
there’s more to it than what I initially saw. It makes it way more fun
for me.
- Most anticipated scene
Kristen Stewart (via MTV):
I think the first hunt … it’s like breaking a car in. It’s like ‘Wow,
look what I’ve got.’ I think it’s gonna be so cool. I think people are
gonna really dig it. We want back and did more to make it even cooler.
- On the love square in Part 2
Taylor Lautner (via Fandango):
In every movie I feel like I say you know [Jacob has] changed so much,
but in this one might be the biggest change. Because he’s always wanted
one thing throughout the franchise, and that’s to end up with Bella.
This is the first time that comes to a close. The love triangle really
doesn’t exist anymore. It’s kind of like a square now.
- On the end of the movie
Robert Pattinson (via PopSugarTV):
The very end of the movie ... it’s very, very sentimental, but I didn’t
expect myself to react the way I did to it. It’s kind of … Bill Condon
this is amazing ending which is so sweet and anyone who’s had any kind
of investment in this series, you can’t help but get emotional about it.
- On a Twilight reboot
Stephenie Meyer (via MTV):
I mean, I think that obviously that could happen, and in the right
scenario it might be something that I’d be excited about. I mean, there
are ways to do things that can be fun and different, and, you know,
fifteen years down the line … it’d be cool to revisit it in fifteen
years. That’d be fun.
- Past Breaking Dawn - Part 2
Robert Pattinson (via Fandango):
Definitely [Edward] turns evil … I always like idea of kind of Edward
and Bella divorce and they have these kind of superhero battles, that’d
be so cool, like Mr. & Mrs. Smith-style.
Jackson Rathbone (via Fandango): Maybe it’s self-serving but I fell in love with the character Jasper when I read Eclipse and
I read that just amazing a hundred pages or so about his backstory, so
she were ever to tell me to come on and do a Jasper backstory kind of
like Wolverine in X-Men: Origins, I’m down. Let’s do Twilight: Origins – The Jasper Story,
I like it … What I tried to imbue into Jasper from day one was the
sense of like why the h*ll am I in high school? You know, it’s this poor
guy, all he wants to do is you know eat, and he’s stuck surrounded by a
buffet. He’s like a guy on a diet surrounded by a donut buffet, and
that’s his life now, so for me that was always it. It’s like this guy’s a
bad*ss, let’s go see what makes him a bad*ss.
- Where do all the Twilighters go?
Robert Pattinson (via Access Hollywood): I’m genuinely curious what [Twilight fans]’ll
go onto. Because it’s like a huge … It becomes a big part of people’s
lives, especially the fandom have kind of made friends with eachother,
and they’ve made their own community and stuff. I dunno. Hopefully
they’ll start making their own Twilight movies afterwards, their own spin-offs.
