“if I Had you” is one big party. Looking like a scene out of Twilight, creatures start emerging from a forest that looks like Bella and Edward’s Pacific Northwest backdrop (it’s actually Griffith Park, California). But where those sullen Twilight kids end, our party people begin, as Lambert’s night raiders (yes, fire performers included) are most likely to be greeted by glow sticks rather than wooden stakes. It’s a Glam Rave.
In his fun-filled new video of his latest single, which was written by Max Martin,Shellback and Savan Kotecha (who were responsible for the recent Britney embarrassments “3″ and “If U Seek Amy”), who redeem themselves with this driving dance track, strong synth beats and a powerful chorus that will be chanted in clubs throughout the long, hot summer.
Adam shines on everything he does, and this is no exception. His singing is stellar on this relentless track, and his look in the video is a new one for us, with Adam sporting a Glamhawk. His look is very reminiscent of Sonia Tayeh, one of the coolest choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance , with a little bit of Boy George thrown in. But it’s really vintage Adam: spikes, feathers, leather, eyeliner, and a vocal that can even wake Edward Cullen and his pasty crew up from the dead.
