hollywoodnews.com: Just because Robert Pattinson is hazy on some Twilight Saga details doesn’t mean we don’t still love him. Though, it is clear that the star will have some catching up to do before the cast starts shooting “Breaking Dawn”. Pattinson readily admitted in recent interviews that he has not yet read the final book in the Twilight Saga due to a busy shooting schedule for the past two years since its release. He plans to take it on after his current film, “Water for Elephants” wraps up.
But, not having read the book hasn’t stopped him from commenting openly on what he does know, and on topics interviewers have been asking about the most. In an interview with MTV, Pattinson said of the baby Renesmee plot twist in “Breaking Dawn”, “I think that’s very funny.” He went on to comment “The only thing I know about it is the famous scene: the kind of cesarean scene … I do not envy Bill Condon to have to think of some way to do that.”
During his appearance on “Twilight: Total Eclipse of the Heart”, a television special hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, Pattinson proved again that his knowledge of the books seems behind that of his colleagues. Whereas other cast members (such as Peter Facinelli and Kristen Stewart) alluded to subtler story elements and forgotten scenes when queried about things they wished had made it to the movies, Pattinson didn’t immediately know whether vampires could swim, when asked. He eventually concluded that they did, with a little help from a knowing audience.
