Forget about all the serious, life-threatening fighting against the Volturi that is teased in "Breaking Dawn," I'm most excited about the fun stuff that goes down when Bella is playing around with her newly acquired vampire strength. The photo of Emmett and Bella perfectly captures the mood of that scene in Stephenie Meyer's book: Emmett coming in, thinking he's the toughest one of all, and Bella being all nonchalant about her super strength.
Kellan Lutz has already said that the arm-wrestling match is his favorite scene in the film, and we can see why.
"I really had an
amazing time shooting the arm-wrestling scene with Kristen [Stewart],"
he said. "It's great seeing her take on the vampire character of Bella.
Arm wrestling her and seeing her all brooding and [acting] tough, it was
fun."
Lutz also joked that Stewart "hurt his arm."
"I mean, gosh.
She's a strong girl," he said with a smile. "It turned out really well. I
think the fans are really going to enjoy it."
Taylor Lautner has also chimed in on Stewart's toughness in the fifth film.
"We did a scene
in the backyard of the Cullen house where Bella [Stewart] gets mad at
me," Lautner said. "She just learned that I imprinted on her daughter,
and she is literally throwing me around the backyard. So it was pretty
fun to see Kristen try and act all tough. She's a vampire; she's
chucking me across the yard into trees and stuff. It was funny."
Fingers crossed that the "funny" translates to the big screen and that we get to see more photographic evidence of it soon.
