The Twilight Saga: New Moon has beaten its prequel Twilight in the first four days of DVD sales.
More than 926,000 DVD and Blu-ray copies of New Moon, which stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, were sold in the four days after release, compared to the 420,000 copies sold of Twilight when it first came out.
E1 Entertainment’s Jon Bourdillon said: “We are very pleased with the sales for New Moon – this outstanding success is testament to the strength of the franchise and is a great foundation for the third instalment Eclipse, which is coming to cinemas in July.”
