Another Michigan-made film, “Freaky Deaky,” has joined the lineup of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
Based on the novel by Detroit literary legend Elmore Leonard, “Freaky Deaky” stars Christian Slater, Crispin Glover, Michael Jai White, Andy Dick and Billy Burke of “Twilight” in the story of a cop who’s drawn into a complicated tale involving extortion, explosive devices and a movie mogul.

It was shot in and around Detroit last year and was directed by Charles Matthau, son of screen great Walter Matthau.
“Freaky Deaky” will get its world premiere April 22 and is part of the Tribeca Talks series. Matthau, Slater, Glover, White and Dick are expected to be at a panel discussion after the screening.
