Guy Of The Year
Winner: Robert Pattinson
Second place: Daniel Radcliffe | Third place: Justin Bieber
Never underestimate the power of Twilight. Twi-hards from over 100 countries worldwide made sure their voices were heard, and that Edward – aka Robert Pattinson – was crowned their king. Pattinson was also outstanding in Water For Elephants last year, with a lothario role still to come in Bel Ami. Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter swansong could only earn him the second spot, while the ubiquitous Justin Bieber somehow blagged third place. There are a lot of Beliebers out there.
Girl Of The Year
Winner: Kristen Stewart
Second place: Emma Watson | Third place: Mila Kunis
Second place: Emma Watson | Third place: Mila Kunis
It's a Twilight double! Kristen Stewart endured a ragged year on film: not only did Bella have to endure a bloody vampire birth (even if it was a result of getting jiggy with Edward), but even non-Twilight roles, like her Welcome To The Rileys prostitute, took their toll. Being named Girl Of The Year is her reward, beating Harry Potter alumni Emma Watson to the top spot. Mila Kunis was the friend with benefits you voted into third position.
Best Drama Of The Year
Winner: Water For Elephants
Second place: Black Swan | Third place: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Second place: Black Swan | Third place: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Could this win for circus drama Water For Elephants have anything to do with the Twilight brigade, per chance? It's pretty likely, unless hordes of you really, really enjoyed the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon (or you lot just love elephants). Ballet thriller Black Swan is a worthy runner-up, with David Fincher's remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo not far behind.
Best Family Movie Of The Year
Winner: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1
Second place: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 | Third place: Tangled
Second place: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 | Third place: Tangled
The only category in which Twilight and Harry Potter movies were in direct competition, Best Family Movie Of The Year came down to the wire, but vampires defeated wizards over the distance: congratulations to Team Twilight and commiserations to Harry and friends. Disney's Tangled, a more traditional family movie, finished third, with the likes of Jack Sparrow's Pirates Of The Caribbean nowhere to be seen. Arrrr.
Scene Of The Year
Winner: Birth scene, from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
Second place: Harry vs Voldemort, from Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Third place: The final dance, from Black Swan
Second place: Harry vs Voldemort, from Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Third place: The final dance, from Black Swan
It's the scene you've all been waiting for: no sooner had Bella and Edward tied the knot and enjoyed their first night of passion, Kristen Stewart's poor human found herself up the duff with a vampire baby slowly killing her from the inside. You voted Breaking Dawn's intense climax over Harry Potter's denouement, with Natalie Portman's swansong from Black Swan a surprise third place finisher.
